Unnamed British ball reservoir.

With thanks to Beth of Amoskeag Auctions, Inc. for permission to post these pics.

The original auction blurb said: ".40 caliber, 30" octagon barrel with a very good multi groove rifled bore. The rifle features a tap action lock and bears very tasteful scroll engraving as does triggerguard, buttplate tang and cocking lever. The barrel bears a pleasing brown patina with some scattered light surface oxidation and good twist pattern showing. The action is a mostly smooth gray brown patina. The checkered straight grip buttstock is of English walnut and rates very good with most of its original finish remaining and with small cracks in flats either side at action. These are not at all obtrusive. The original iron ball reservoir bears a pleasing gray brown patina. The rifle includes a period pump in matching condition. A handsome, very nice quality antique air rifle."
