Here are just a few examples of John Bowketts work. They started life as working jigs, and when all knowledge was developed from them, they were made up into working playthings for John only, and were not for sale as they were not up to finished specification.. The one at bottom is a muzzle loader that uses .25 precision balls. Pressurised to 1100 p.s.i. it is capable of firing 30 shots.
