Pristine 1928 BSA Standard, Light Pattern.

Yep - 1928 vintage, and looking every bit like it was just delivered from the factory.

This has to be the nicest, cleanest vintage BSA that I have ever encountered. The metalwork is, by my estimation, 95%+, with only a few very small indications that the gun had ever been used. The electro-etch is still bright silver, and 100%. The wood is likewise incredible, at about 95%. There is one spot in the stock (LHS, near the butt) that has a few marks, like something had bumped it a number of times, but it isn't too bad, and doesn't show up well in the pics.

All the edges and details remain crisp and sharp - even the very delicate edges of the front sight bead. The screw heads appear to have never been touched beyond the factory assembly. An absolutely incredibly well preserved specimen.

I have been researching this one for many months now, in hopes of being able to present some provenance of the gun in my post, but alas, I have been unable to find anything beyond the basic info.
