shiny mish mash

This was a badly pitted "flat top" standard with a damaged stock and trigger unit, have been meaning to get around to it for ages, and recently have found time to clean it up a bit to see how bad the corrosion was.

It looks shiny here, but would need a lot more work before a re-blue would look good, but thought I would build it up quickly and see how it shot before committing any more time.

The advantage of the late standard trigger guard is that many stocks will fit, this is wearing a nice straight hand unit I have had on several guns.

Am tempted to leave as is now, or get nickle plated perhaps!

Standard Woodwork.

Stock with 4 coats of CCL oil / hardener, very hard to capture the colours of what is going on, but some idea of the effect of spalting;
