The original auction blurb said: "This is a 22 cal rifled, rod pump pneumatic rifle and is the 2nd variant of this Crosman First Model. The machined receiver and steel barrel have turned a pleasing brown patina and the compression tube has silvered. The rifle wears a bridge mounted peep sight adjustable for both elevation and windage and the front post is integral with the front barrel band. The hard wood stock retains most of the original finish and has a older crack on the left side near the receiver and a small chip is missing from the toe of the butt. The metal butt plate is painted black. The action functions but the compression rod needs resealing. A wonderful high condition example of Crosman's first air rifle."
