Daisy trade show airguns?

With thanks to Wes. He says:

I do not know why these guns were made this way.  May have been for a trade show.  They are all Daisy guns, a model #840, #1894 and a #100 pistol.

Years ago I visited the Daisy plant in Rogers.  While touring the plant we came upon the machine making the plastic stocks.  Our guide started to tell us about the press and I told him I was sure I knew more about it then he did.  It was a 500 ton Van Dorn injection molding press.  We had them in our shop and being a machine repairman I had worked on them many times.  These guns with the clear parts would have been very easy to do.  It takes very little time to purge the color plastic out and change to clear.
