The auction blurb was: "A rare Eisenwerke Gaggenau Model No. 1 .22 cal. gallery air gun, a transitional example between Bugelspanner/Gem, with 25in. octagonal breech loading barrel, the cylinder with trigger and lever compression to the underside of the butt, no. 176, fitted sling swivels, c.1880, 44in. long overall.
