Article on the global distribution of Falkes
I have just re-read this article and think I should add a quick update following Volker's research.
Among the interesting background on the company that he gave - including the explanation that the founder and boss had a heart attack in 1957, explaining why Falke went bankrupt the following year - was that the owner befriended the British military chief (governor?) of the region in which Bennigsen was located.
This might explain why the factory appeared to concentrate on selling into English-speaking countries. It would have had the additional incentive of escaping fierce competition in the German airgun space presented by Diana, Walther, BSF etc.
