Falke 90 #34 gets an overhaul

Hi!

I'm the new custodian of Falke 90 #34

I'm in the process of rebuilding it since it took two to three firing cycles to push the pellet through the barrel.

Since I recently did the same to my old HW77 I discovered that the HW spring would fit nicely in the Falke except for being longer.

How long should I make the spring, 32 coils like the tired old original or should I add some preload?

Apparently the original spring was as follows:

Thank you Garvin!

The HW77 spring matches the dimensions, including being 32 coils, but is over a foot long and definitely much more powerful.

I've found a source that has a spring for the Falke 70, I understand that it is basically the same power plant so maybe that would be a better choice than cutting down the HW spring?
