Diego there are very few parts available for the Falke underlevers unfortunately, apart from springs.

Rear sights are especially sought after, because they can be easily removed/fall off. Very occasionally a rear sight or diopter sight comes up on eGun.de, the German auction site. Sometimes they are wrongly labelled or the seller just doesn't know what they are and says 'unbekannt' (unknown) on the ad. In the 13 years or so I've been checking out eGun, I've seen maybe five or six of these sights come up, and they sell for quite a lot. Strangely, a rifle complete with sights in poor condition may only sell for three or four times as much as the sight alone...

This Falke is indeed a beautiful rifle and it always fired really good, as said above we used it in my youth (in the 60's/70's) a lot with the entire family. I think I really used it with my children and friends about 12 years back and tried it last year again, but then there wasn't any power left.

So for me the problem is I want to find a spring and indeed can't find that too yet. I read somewhere something about a fitting spring from another air gun, but lost that information. A shop where I informed if they could do something for this Falke couldn't help either, they even didn't know the Falke despite it's more or less a bit famous rifle.

I definitely will try Garvin's tip, should be very great if I can obtain that and have it brought in good order again! Hopefully that succeeds to get the power back in it!

Hi Jan

I have purchased a spring for my Falke 90 from Custom Air Seals here in Australia. Some where here on the Falke forum there is a factory listing on the spring specs. From memory it was rated @ 38.5 ftlbs, the one from custom air seals is rated @35 ftlbs.I am still rebuilding mine as it had some major issues,i did find that the transfer port is very large @ 5.35 mmØ, mine is a 5.5 mm cal,i would be interested if any one has measured other Falke 80/90 in both 4.5 and 5.5,the port is also very long @26mm.I have measured the swept volume of the piston/cylinder @ approx 45 cc .This with the large volume of the transfer port gives a low comp ratio of about 80 to 1.The old leather washer has gone to god ,so a seal from a Diana will be used, with the new dynamics of the power plant i have decided to plug the transfer to 2.7mm as a starting point. It will be interesting to see what power can be gained with a little fiddle !!Diego i will try to get some pics on the forum for you.

  Cheers  Wayne

Hi Wayne,

Good info, thanks because that always might be very usefull! Mine is a 5,5mm too and that leather seal probably also is gone since it's now somewhere some good 60 years old and I guess there's never been any form of maintenance plus there's been shot quite a lot with it. So the power definitely was gone, I hope it can be updated since it's a kind of family rifle that I would like to have pleasure with again. Buying another new airgun is of course simple, but this one is rather special to mee and also it's aparently gaining some value these days.

There's also since a while ago a 5,5mm diabolo pellet stuck inside, if these ares too heavy. I bought heavier ones and never shot with them before, bought them because I wanted to get rid of extreme many birds around my place. I don't know but definitely can imagine it's stuck because the compression power has gone. These heavy pellets were Baracuda Hunter's of 1,18gr, 25J. So I never could shoot with them. I also had bought Gamo Pro Match competition pellets of 1 gr, 14J, but don't know anymore if I shot one of them (guess not). The pellets that I originally used were anyway definitely lighter, but I don't know anymore what they were.

I've just send a request for information to a gun workshop nearby I found who does all kind off repairs to all kind of guns, also airguns. So I'm curious if they can repair this, then I guess they also change the seal.

Cheers, Jan

If you find a good air gun smith they will have no problems fixing your Falke.A Weihrauch HW 97/77/50 spring should be ok,they may have to cut down the 97/77 spring.Try pellets up to 15 g,i dont think the Falke has the power to use any thing any heavier,i may be wrong thats why you should try all pellets.

All the best   Wayne

Wayne there shouldn't be a problem sending the diopter on its own, surely, if that's what you're suggesting?

If I was posting it I would only say 'optical aid' or something anodyne like that. That's not inaccurate and since it is not a 'gun part' as such, why on earth should anybody object to you posting it?!

Garvin may be alredy esplained the meaning of number in the falke mod 80 , attached two pics where there are two numbers: one is 4 and 1 in opposite mode and the other is 72 (or it is 7 dot 2?)

what does it mean ? is it correct to have two different numbers? thks diego

I would be very interested in your diopter. I can probably source a  Weihrauch diopter and trade or trade plus money.
