FLZ mod 1 pistol (nickel)

This pistol is up for auction on eGun.de at time of posting. Not sure the nickel is a factory finish but it looks quite old.

FLZ Model-1 Air Pistol (detailed pics)

This pistol, formerly of the J M Davis firearms museum in the US, has no FLZ markings, only 'Germany' stamped under the pistol grip.

FLZ Model-1 Air Pistol (cranked cocking link version)

With thanks to Eberhard for the heads up.

This was a slightly longer version of the FLZ mod. 1.

John Griffiths, author of The Encyclopedia of Spring Air Pistols, said:

[According to catalogues] covering the period  1927-1940... it seems the long version was only offered up to about 1931, long before the FLZ2 came onto the market ca. 1937, so the designation FLZ1 for the standard version obviously did not exist at the time. It was simply called 'the FLZ pistol'. Consequently the long version was always lumped together with the standard model under the one illustration (the one that showed the uncranked cocking lever), and under the one heading  "FLZ pistol".  So to all intents and purposes they were offered as two versions of the same model.

FLZ Model-1 Air Pistol (boxed)

With thanks to Tim of timdysonairguns.co.uk.

Note: In his sales blurb, Tim said in his opinion the box was a later addition.
