FLZ Model-2 Air Pistol.

With thanks to Keld for these pics of what appears to be a custom-stocked Mod 2.
John Griffiths, author of The Encyclopedia of Spring Air Pistols, gave this opinion:
"A very interesting customised version of the FLZ Model 2. Although the FLZ 1 and FLZ 2 have identical actions there are subtle very characteristic cosmetic differences, particularly the curved profile of the cylinder end block, the way the trigger guard is attached to the frame, and the general appearance of the barrel detent (only obvious when the action is fully open). Also I have never seen an FLZ 1 with the marking "FLZ Luftpistole" on the barrel, whereas it is there on the FLZ 2. So this definitely started life as an FLZ 2.
The question is, is it an official factory modification or not? I tend to favour a non-factory customisation for the following reasons:
1. Of the numerous catalogue entries I have seen for the FLZ2 I never seen such a modified form offered.
2. The attempt to introduce a vertically adjustable rear sight in place of the usual fixed sight looks a little insubstantial.
3. The fit of the cylinder into the stock is not up to the usual FLZ standard."

John Griffiths, author of the Encyclopedia of Spring Air Pistols, said:
[There is a] resemblance to the FLZ 2, particularly where there is a large gap between the long cocking link and the cylinder barrel jaws. The vast majority of break barrel pistols do not have this gap...

He added:
The similarity to the FLZ 2 is remarkable if you look at the internals. I took one of mine apart and made this comparison. The one-piece trigger/sear is very distinctive. as is the location of the sear at the extreme end of the cylinder
