Judging by the trigger, rear sight and very thick barrel I'd say it is a Webley Osprey.........dom

The rifle arrived today and I can confirm that it's a .22 Webley Osprey. Still shoots fine after many years of storage - guessing around 8 ft lbs judging by the depth it buries the pellets into wood. It's in need of some TLC with some rusting spots on the metalwork and scratching of the wood finish. I'm thinking wire wool to clean it all back. Can I ask how I would then go about getting the metalwork back to black?

yep 0000 wire wool and some 3 in 1 oil should get it back to some sense of normality, but if anything more then a re blue is about £100.........dom
