Giffard CO2 rifles
Giffard Air Rifle - Junior Type?.
With thanks to Lawrie for these pics.
In .177 calibre.
Lawrie says: "It is a small rifle, but looks a bit crudely made. It is marked as a London-made gun. My theory is that someone in the Giffard workshops made it up as a 'homer' - a word used to describe something made unofficially at work - for his son or wife, due to it's size.
It didn't work when I got it but I modified the valve and now it works very well.
Giffard Air Rifle - Cased Set.
With thanks to Joe for these pics. The set includes, in Joe's words:
"The original rifle is an 8mm. It has an additional original
Giffard barrel, sleeved to .22. It also has a modified old Mossberg
peepsight. The filling adapter enables you to fill the resevoir using
a standard 88g CO2 canister. The case is a modified Brady shotgun
case and the instruction booklet in the lid is a modern repro."
Giffard Air Rifle - CO2 tap loader.

This rifle was for sale by German gunshop:
'Scoped Giffard CO2 rifle
With thanks to Jan for these pics. He says: "Here are some pictures of my 8mm Giffard rifle. I began shooting it at 50 yards a week ago and I'm very impressed. The 'scope is a Unertl and reason for this addition was because rearsight was missing when I bought it from the Netherlands."
