Hämmerli 'Puma M494' sidelever
The owner of this rifle (from Suffolk, UK) says:
It's a Hämmerli Model 1 Puma M494. These were imported in .177 cal. .22 cal were a special order such as this one. This was the first of the breed that led to 401, then Sussex Armoury Jackal and eventually the birth of Air Arms.
I found this list on the internet (so 'handle with care'!):
