Homemade 'Innova'-like pump up
With thanks to Robert.
His pal Louis says:
My friend Robert is an inventor. He designs robotics for a living.
Last November, he decided to build a gun inspired by his Sharp Innova.
I went to see the gun, and I was amazed.
The (mango wood, iirc) stock comes from Indonesia, where there is a lively trade in aftermarket Sharp parts.
(Robert has family in Java and goes there regularly).
The comb was a bit too high for using the peep sight. Robert reshaped it, but I don't have a photo of how the gun looks right now.The rest is all made from scratch. The breech is 3D printed, and excellent.
Robert improved the trigger mechanism, and used a slightly smaller diameter but longer cylinder, which makes pumping easier.
The cylinder is made of brass, and strengthened by a carbon sleeve.
The FX .22 barrel gives excellent accuracy.Nice to see that Robert is inspired by Sharp, and that he holds the Innova in high esteem.
The minimalism, yet extremely high effectiveness, of the design appeals to him.
However, he saw areas that could be improved.
