Top: Pre-World War One ‘large’ Bisley c.1910-11 serial number 3 with backstrap cocking lever.
Second down: Lincoln butt-cylinder patent 1921, barrel-cocker serial number 1033.
Third down: ‘Small’ Bisley 1921 patents with rotary lock-up for backstrap lever, serial number number 27.
Fourth down: Similar to above - but with side mounted spring latch to lock the backstrap, serial number 111.
Lower: Lincoln Jeffries Scout push-in barrel cocking pistol c.1922 - 1926.

Lincoln Bisley backstrap cocking Air Pistol - Prototype.
This pistol sold recently at a sale by JS Fine Arts Auctiion. The hammer price was £3,000 which made a total inclusive of commission and VAT of £3,630.
The auction blurb was: "Lot 2007 A 'LINCOLN' TYPE AIR PISTOL, THE BRONZE AND POLISHED STEEL FRAME MARKED PATENT APPLIED FOR 10250 AND PW6019, IN .177 CALIBRE. COMPLETE WITH A COPY OF THE LINCOLN JEFFRIES AND COMPANY LIMITED IMPROVEMENTS IN SPRING AIR PISTOLS PATENT-ACCEPTED 27TH APRIL 1911"
