One pic shows the remnants of the original piston washer, the barrel was blocked with pellets and (particles of washer) and that must have been the cause.

Another shows the leather washer I’ve fitted as an alternative. There is a photo where you can see the spring and spring guide at the rear of the cylinder and that is the pre load! I’m sure the spring is original as the rifle showed no evidence of having been stripped before.

All reassembled and functioning correctly, it has a cheap almost toy like feel to it,a junior rifle with no attempt at quality or thought for longevity.
