Diana convertible rear sight/peep sight

With thanks to Mike.

The aperture is 1.0 mm

Sight attaches via a serrated "foot" which matches up to top of gun's rail. Similar to the later big Diana sights

The big thumbwheel adjusts elevation. There is a small window through which numbers 0 - 9 are visible. Some sights have 10 clicks per revolution of the wheel, others have 20. (Screw at red arrow not original on this one).

This ingenious "stair step" scale tracks how many revolutions the thumbwheel has made.

On some sights the windage is turned by a special tool which engages the square stud and depresses the spring-steel locking leaf.

On others there is a thumb knob, and spring leaf is depressed manually (this one is on a model 50/a with only open sight, no peep attachment).

The open sight has rotating notches similar to newer Diana sights. Very small round, square, and V notches.
The large round one one must be used for clear view with the peep attachment.
