Diana Model-27 - Earlier version post-WW1.

This is a very good earlier example, with no model number stamped on the cylinder and a "Diana-Luft-Gewehr" stamp on the barrel. It's in working order and still able to push pellets out at over 600fps, says owner Mike D.

With thanks to Mike for these pics:

Diana Model-27 - Export version of post-WW1.

The export version of this rifle (see "Millard Bros catalogue, early 1930s" in the literature etc thread).

Diana Model-27 - Later post-WW1.

This is a later example of this model, with the model number stamped on the cylinder. It appears to have been nickel-plated. Note the keeper screw on the trigger block cross bolt.

Diana Model-27 - Pre-WW1.

Note the MGR marking to the breech block.

With many thanks to Frank for these pics.

Diana Model-27 - "MGR"-marked

With thanks to Mark for these pics.

The rifle is in .177 cal and is 109cm long. Note the adjustable rear sight, based
on the BSA Improved Model D design. These have been seen on post-WW2 Diana mods.

This rifle could actually be a mod 37 according to the illustrations on this list

Diana Model-27 - Or Model-32? 11/1931.

We're not certain whether this is a model 32 or a 27 with a BSA block-type rearsight fitted. It is the right length for a model 32 but not exactly the published weight.

It has a rifled barrel.

With many thanks to Chris for supplying these excellent pics.

Diana Model-27E with pistol grip stock.

Here is an export model 27. It has no markings whatsoever, so perhaps was destined to be 'rebadged'in an export market?

Note the unusual BSA-style trigger guard, which is similar to one fitted to the export model 27 pictured earlier in this section.

Sadly it has been fired during cocking and has a slightly upward pointing barrel.

Diana Model-27 - "MGR" marked pre-WW1 (1937?).

Many thanks to Tomas for these pics. This lovely rifle (yes, it is rifled, not smoothbore) is 109.5cm long and weighs 2.7kg. Most of its original blued finish remains and it has the Lincoln-Jeffries-style adjustable block rear sight.

Diana Model-27 - DRPa.

This is an interesting 'patents pending' example of the half-stocked DRP. Unusually, it has a metal buttplate similar to the pre-DRP rifle models.

Pics courtesy of Christopher, with thanks:
