S.A.R. air rifle
With thanks to a collector friend. He says:
These are of a Japanese S.A.R., rifle, which I take to have been made by the Shinbishi (or bishu) Air Rifle company. This rifle was bought, along with a lot of others, for evaluation by M&G [Diana], and sold following their collapse, several years ago. A .177, It's powerful and well made, distinctly reminiscent of the BSA Airsporter in style, and also has an early Airsporter-style three piece stock.
