John Griffiths, author of the Encyclopedia of Spring Air Pistols, says:
TH. Bergmann of Hamburg-Altona apparently were not really manufacturers of air guns, but specialised in shooting games and arcade guns, and modified other manufacturers' guns for these purposes. The modified Diana 5 Target pre-war pistols were the most prevalent of their products, and these typically had the unusual calibre of 0.21 to ensure that punters had to use the vendor's ammunition. The pistols never had any Diana markings, only the Bergmann name.
