Copies of prewar BSAs (and other makes)

See also examples of the Haenel underlevers (ie. underlever mods IV and VI) and the Diana underlevers (ie. mods 42 and 48) elsewhere in this gallery.

The fairly common buttstocks Haenel IV and Diana 48 in particular were direct copies of the BSA Standards, and because they were both imported to the UK (apparently both badged and unbadged) in the 1920s and '30s, they competed directly with the BSAs for sales.

There are also numerous Japanese copies, some apparently made after WW2. See pics below and in the following links.
