Webley Senior Air Pistol - Post War
Webley Senior Air Pistol - Post War - Cased.
With thanks to Tim of www.timdysonairguns.co.uk for these pics.
Tim's blurb for this pistol:
A very scarce cased Webley Senior Air Pistol in .177 calibre with accessories.
The pistol is in good original condition with only a few marks to the blued finish mainly to the left side of the cylinder. The screw heads are good the slotted end plug is undamaged and grips are not cracked or chipped. This is the Birmingham 4 model manufactured prior to 1958 and is stamped on the right of the cylinder as such. It cocks and fires with no issues.
The case supplied with the pistol is an extremely rare genuine post war ‘Rexine’ leatherette type where the interior matches the profile of the pistol (these are rarer than the earlier cases)
It is in original condition showing signs of wear and one corner has slight damage where it has been knocked but otherwise it is in good order.(See Gordon Bruce’s ‘ Webley Air Pistols’ Page 90)
Included is a genuine post war Webley Oil Can and a tin of Webley .177 Calibre Special Pellets.
This is a very rare collectable example.

Webley Senior Air Pistol - Post War - In Prewar Box.
With thanks to Chris for these pics.
The owner is pretty sure the prewar box is original to the pistol, which is immediately postwar. He says:
"[This is] an early post war Senior with extended barrel knurling and no warning on breech plug putting it between 1946-1949 I think. The box lid illustrates a prewar model with plain grips and I think it is the one the pistol was supplied in when new as per Webley’s policy of not wasting anything and using up old stock of boxes etc."

Webley Senior Air Pistol (postwar, engraved)
Engraved by master engraver Don Blocksidge.
With thanks to Troubledshooter.
He says: "The grips were a later acquisition fitted to another Senior.
This Senior is a very early example of Don's work as it is engraved through the blue which entails a lot more care that engraving in the white and re-bluing which is what most of Don's later work entailed."
